Pizza by the Pool

How do we get all those great shots of iguana by the pool? As the title of the story says, a little pizza goes a long way with our subject models. Its been a long year waiting to get back to the white sands of Aruba. The trade winds, bright sun and the blue, green and brown iguana remind us of why we migrate every June to this tropical paradise. Of course the frozen Cocada drinks are to die for in the hot sun.

The main pasttime on the island, fedding ourselves and our little reptile friends to get them to pose for these great photos. Amazing that most of the people photos on this trip are eating as well. When you think about it, both the lizards and the higher form of the species are all waiting for that next meal. Some meals are better than others but they don't always yield the best memories. The simple moments in life are what last the longest over time. One slice of pizza by the pool has given us the best time spent with our scaly little friends.

I hope that we as a higher species don't appear to be such scavengers as our little buddies appear to be at first glance. Here in this land of many cultures and customs one always wonders if the habits we bring with us are welcome in this paradise. Afterall, a good meal and and a cool drink does seem to make the iguanas possess some human characteristics, Hopefully, with a good meal in our bellies and a frozen drink in our hands, we will seem less like animals.
